Good morning all...
We have arrived back in Kiev. We never thought we would be so happy to be back in this city...however we had established a comfort zone here...and have returned to it. Our apartment does not have a/c...but it is on the 5th floor so there is a great breeze that flows through...and we are comfy. Also...our new apartment is right across the street from the Radisson...and upstairs from Dede's favorite coffee shop. I am working on pics right now...just downloaded the last of my Odessa photos...and will have a complete Odessa gallery posted by day's end.
We have met a new couple from Chicago...and they have not seen any of the city yet...so we are going to take them for a tour. Then...I am all yours...and will work tirelessly to post a beautiful gallery of our excursion this past 10 days. Not to worry...I love taking...editing...and exhibiting my pics. I also have a few stories coming in the next few days.

I really want to know where that door goes...Actually...underneath Odessa is a very vast catacomb system from many years ago. You can tour it...at your own risk. The system has not been completely mapped...so it is quite dangerous. There is no subway system because of these tunnels.

This was a common looking pup. We kept thinking we were seeing the same dog over and over. We fed them all. We never left a scrap of food on any plate. There were pups and kitties alike. There was an entire litter of kittens living under the booth of an outside cafe. They had omelete for breakfast more than once.

Dede actually ordered a hamburger for a pup that crawled up under my chair at the Irish Pub. The pup was too finicky to eat it...at first...he came back for most of it. We took the rest down the street to his friends.

This was my favorite little pup. I fed him steak...and chicken...gave him water. I even chased him out of the street a few times...as if he couldn't survive without me around to scare him half to death. He would live with me if I lived in Odessa. (Stop crying Stacey...we did enough for all of us).

When these trees lit up...we were not expecting it...how fantastic it was to experience...brought tears to my eyes. This park and these trees run the length of...I would say...about 6-8 city blocks.

Hello ladies....long time since I have written. Dede hang in there and enjoy your favorite coffee shop..wish I could enjoy a cup with you. kay and I are praying for you and will continue to do so. I remember what a former pastor at HBC said all the time and that is "God is never on schedule but he is always on time." Continue to be patient and I know that is not one of the Farris' strengths....but this will all work out in time.
